The NUS Campus Crusade for Christ has been heavily condemned for
really terrible comments about Thai Buddhists and Turkish
Muslims.
I read about what they posted.... damnit man, they're lucky to
get away with only a censure from the NUS Deputy President, and
articles in Today and TNP. People have been thrown into jail for
less than this.
The part about Thai Buddhists was especially condescending and
patronizing.
As for the part about Turkish Muslims, trying to stealthily
describe Muslims as 'M' is pretty dumb. My BMT platoon sergeant
would be hammering them at such a dumb attempt at cover and
concealment.
Anyway, speaking about crusades and Turkey, I seriously wonder
if they know anything about the Fourth Crusade. That's where the
Crusaders actually sacked Constantinople. That, and the
(Catholic) city of Zara.
